Richard Scudder is an acclaimed photographer for the motion picture and entertainment industry.
Richard was born on May 29, 1965, in Glendale, California, USA. At the age of seventeen, with his camera in hand, he moved from of his family’s home into a small Hollywood apartment off Hollywood and Highland.
Back in those days the famous intersection was quite derelict, but affordable for a young person. Adjacent to Richard's new apartment stood a photo lab that re-produced 8x10 headshots. Soon after his arrival, actors and models discovered a talented young Richard Scudder living next door to the lab, who would have him photograph them on the cheap. The word got out that Richard was delivering images just as good, or often times much better than the fashionable named photographers of the day.
And so... Richard Scudder's career began. His career now spans forty-two years, with over three-thousand photo shoots to his credit, including on camera appearances of such television programs as "Americas Next Top Model." In April 2006 Richard Scudder became a member of the prestigious International Cinematographers Guild, IATSE Local #600, where he still continues to enjoy a celebrated career as a modern “master of photography.”
